Perspective shifts and visual fragmentation define the visual identity of The Doctor, which explores fragmented perception and layered identities in Katerina Evangelatos’ theatrical adaptation of Arthur Schnitzler’s play. Layered, segmented images unfold like a kaleidoscope of forms, where each fragment holds its own visual weight yet contributes to an interconnected whole.
This interplay of sharp separation and cohesion mirrors the performance’s multi‑prismatic exploration of identity and perception. The design reflects the contrast and spatial tension through deliberate breaking and recomposing of the photographic frame. Visual juxtapositions generate a sense of movement and psychological depth by revealing the complexity beneath what we think we see.
